Jaikirat Singh Sethi Debuts as a Promising Writer
Jaikirat Singh Sethi of 12-E has published his first book Conquering Mt. High School, and earned rave reviews from all quarters. The promising young writer has wielded his pen to elucidate, in a bold way, the reality of the current education system. As a first person narrative, the book explores the author’s life during the high- school years and delves deep into the psyche of students traversing their lives through the teenage years.
In his book, Jaikirat encourages all those failing to fit into the 99% club to chase their dreams. According to the author, by getting caught in the quagmire of the rat race for a high percentage in academics, teenagers lose out on the most joyous and the best moments of adolescence. Jaikirat reiterates in his own words, “My journey from 9th grade to 11th grade should give you a pat on the back and tell you ‘it's OK to be average’.”
Jaikirat’s book is an outcome of his habit of journaling his thoughts and he credits his accomplishment to his parents who urged him to write the book. He enjoys blogging and reading non fiction . Robert Greene and James Clear are amongst his favourite writers. He aspires to have a job which truly makes him happy and in which he is able to strike a perfect work- life balance.
