<p>In incongruous with the reading mission launched by CBSE, a reading workshop was conducted for teachers teaching classes 1 to 8, by Ms Dabista Ashraf, TGT Librarian, in Sr AV room, on 20th Sep 2022.</p> <p>In the workshop following points were emphasised:</p> <p>1. Benefits of reading, literature review, having ones own library.</p> <p>2. Number of words per minute for reading should constantly increase and should reach 250+.</p> <p>3. Flashing reading quotations on display boards in class rooms.</p> <p>4. Five finger rule for selecting a book.</p> <p>5. Teachers as role models.</p> <p> </p>
Event Name : President AWWA Rolling Trophy Ethics Bowl 2022
<p><strong>President AWWA, Rolling Trophy, Ethics Bowl- 2022</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>The school hosted the second season of President AWWA, Rolling Trophy, Ethics Bowl- 2022. The event is held annually under the aegis of AWWA, a non profit organisation for the welfare of dependents of army personnel. It seeks to foster intellectual conviction and strong moral bearing in the future generations.</p> <p> </p> <p>Six command level teams and one Central AWWA team participated in the competition. The event took place between 16.8.22 to 22.8.22. Three Semi Final matches and quarter final matches took place through the online mode onn16.8.22 and 22.8.22 respectively</p> <p> </p> <p>The two teams which reached the Final stage were Southern Star AWWA and Central AWWA. The Final match and the Closing Ceremony was conducted on 22.8.22 at Army Public School, Delhi Cantt.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Manoj Pande, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC was the Chief Guest for the event. Mrs. Archana Pande, President AWWA. Mrs Narawane, President NWWA and senior officers from the Armed Forces were amongst the other dignitaries present to grace the occasion. Principals from other service schools were also present to witness the final match.</p> <p>The judges for the final match included Mr Shiv Aroor, a Senior Executive Editor and anchor with India Today TV, Mr. Bhadra Sinha, a senior associate editor with news portal, also a Bharatanatyam classical dancer and Mr. Rahul Singh who is an author and a senior associate editor at Hindustan Times.</p> <p>The programme began with the lighting of the auspicious lamp<strong>.</strong> A cornucopia of visual delight was on display. Dances performances showcasing the talent of the students and spirit of the event were displayed. The Final match commenced with the moderator reading out the case studies and the teams presenting their carefully researched viewpoints. The discussions were found to be extremely thought- provoking by one and all present. The match lasted for an hour and a half. The Central AWWA team was declared as the winner of the final match. The event culminated with Mrs. Veena Naravane and Mrs Archana a Pande handing over the certificates medallions to both the teams. The winners lifted the Trophy amidst jubilation and rejoicing.</p>

<p><strong>Thematic Day Celebration</strong></p> <p><strong>Event: Summerlicious Day</strong></p> <p><strong>Life skill: Team work</strong></p> <p><strong>Keeping up with the spirit of Primary Wing to turn each day into a celebration and each event an unforgettable journey, ‘Summerlicious Day’ was celebrated on 30th July, 2022 with great elan and fervour. It was a scintillating day with innocent faces gleaming and reflecting brightness, joy and exuberance. The life skill theme - Teamwork was incorporated through different activities that were conducted in grades 1-5.</strong></p> <p><strong>Rainbow Spirit </strong></p> <p><strong>Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. Dressed in the shades of VIBGYOR, the tiny tots looked bright, lively and cheerful. The teachers were dressed in different hues and tints of white. It was a realm of colours in the Primary Wing. To emphasise the spirit of togetherness and collaboration, all the activities were performed in groups and not individually. The idea was to make students understand that ‘There is strength in unity.’ </strong></p> <p><strong>The day began with a Group Fashion Parade ‘Rainbow Fun’ by students of all grades. Students were dressed as summer fruits, vegetables etc. </strong></p> <p><strong>Various team building exercises were performed by all grades-hula hoop challenge, collage making, Bob the Builder challenge and Salad Making competition (La Salade De Fruit) in groups. Incentives were given to the best teams for performing the hula hoop perfectly. It was such a pleasure to watch students perform all activities with great enthusiasm!</strong></p> <p><strong>The highlight of the day was the Jam session on the stage where students and teachers danced their hearts out and enjoyed the pleasant weather.</strong></p> <p><strong>The students spent the day with utmost enjoyment and they were all sparkling with joy and excitement. Words of motivation from Principal ma’am motivated the students and enhanced their confidence to a great extent. All the staff members under the leadership of our Coordinator Mrs Anjali Sharma made this day spectacular. </strong></p>

<h2><strong>'Victory belongs to the most persevering."</strong></h2> <p>Students of APS DC has once again proved that competition is the key to unlock the golden the opportunity.</p> <p>In the recent zonal competitions the students of APS Delhi Cantt surpased their competitors with consistent hard work and indomitable will.</p> <p>The students have won <strong>59 Gold</strong> and <strong>03 Silver</strong> and <strong>05 Bronze</strong> medals, topping the medal tally once again with total number of 67 medals in <strong>Inter Zonal Cultural Competitions 2021</strong> The students displayed their exemplary oratory skills and exquisite artistic acumen in various cultural events.</p> <p>We are proud to showcase the achievement.</p> <p><strong>1.
