Event Name : AWES English Debate
<p>Army Public School, Delhi Cantt created history when its star debaters won the trophy at the AWES National English Debate Competition. It was a long and exciting journey for the team APS DC to reach this pinnacle of success.</p> <p>The debaters of APS DC first won at the Delhi Cluster level debate competition by out winning three other Army Public Schools in Delhi. They went ahead to represent Delhi at the Command Level Debate Competition where they fought the battle with five other Army Public Schools to win the trophy.</p> <p>Being the winner at Command Level, they entered the National level competition. They armoured themselves with regular practice, elocutory skills and confidence to encounter five worthy opponents from five other commands to win the title.</p> <p>The National Competition was held on 16th November. The team consisting ofthree extraordinary debaters, clinched the National Champion title with theirinimitable oratory skills.</p> <p>Uttkarsh Mahajan and Deshmukh Shivani of class XI of APS DC were adjudged thebest speakers.</p> <p><strong>Lt Gen Shantanu Dayal, AVSM, SM, VSM, DG, DC &W</strong> felicitated the winners. He awarded a cheque of Rs 30,000 for the institution and a prize money of Rs. 2000 each for the best speakers.</p> <p>He congratulated the Principal Mrs. Neetu Kapoor, teachers and the students for the historic win.</p> <p> </p>
Event Name : ACHIEVEMENTS OF APS DELHI CANTT IN ZONALS
<p>Army Public School,Delhi Cantt excelled in <strong>Zonal Sports and Cultural Competitions </strong>2019-20. The school won Five out of Eight Championship Trophies in various categories. It is for the <strong>fourth time in a row</strong> that APS Delhi Cantt has won the Overall Championship Trophy in Co curricular and Cultural Competitions thus retaining its glory. APS Delhi Cantt won total 80 Gold, 50 Silver and 35 Bronze Medals in co-curricular, sports, yoga and athletics. In addition to this achievement, APS Delhi Cantt has set the record of topping the medal tally in almost all the events. </p> <p>Mr B M Mudgal, DDE Zone 19 and 20 felicitated the winners in a ceremony conducted by Directorate of Education, Zone-20 on<br /> 19 Dec 2019 at IARI PUSA. <p><strong>FELICITATION BY THE HON’BLE VICE PRESIDENT</strong></p> <p><strong> SHRI VENKAIAH NAIDU</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>It was a moment of great pride when <strong>the Hon’ble Vice President Sh Venkaiah Naidu felicitated </strong>Mrs Neetu Kapoor Principal APS Delhi Cantt and differently-abled student Sakshi Kumari . </p> <p>The felicitation was in honour of Sakshi’s outstanding achievement of winning the <strong>Student Of The Year Award</strong> in the <strong>COMMON WEALTH OF LEARNING, EXCELLENCE IN DISTANCE EDUCATION AWARD </strong>by outwinning <strong>53 Common Wealth Countries</strong> and nearly 35 Lac NIOS learners.</p> <p>She was awarded in the <strong>NINTH PAN Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning Conference held at BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburg Scotland .</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Hon’ble Vice President Sh Venkaiah Naidu </strong>congratulated Sakshi Kumari for bringing laurels to the country and wished her Good Luck for her future.</p>
